My name is Dan Dishart and I am a recent graduate of the University of Guelph where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree with two majors. I attended university as a mature student and am eager to utilize my professional skills in a personal trainer role. I believe that my ten years of personal training experience combined with my education will enable me to adequately assist clients in meeting their diverse goals and needs. I have been always been involved in athletics since I can remember. I engaged in football, rugby, hockey, tennis, baseball, swimming, and basketball. It was in my final years of high school where I found myself in the weight room with an increasing interest in physical health. With my growing interest in bodybuilding and weightlifting, I joined a local gym at the age of 16 and have continued to train hard ever since. I studied and expanded my knowledge of weight training and bodybuilding, which has enabled me to experience success with my own training to where I entered and won the Ultimate Fitness Events male fitness model category. My passion and desire for fitness and nutrition knowledge has not stopped growing since I started my training. Over the years I have studied and learned about different training techniques and philosophies and continue to expand myself as a personal trainer, fitness enthusiast and as a person. I understand the complexities of physical fitness and can help you with many facets of training including strength, size, power, speed, flexibility, endurance, nutrition, and sport specific training. It is my belief that physical health should not be a temporary segment of one's life, but rather a way of living. I am looking forward to bringing my experience to Lifetime Fitness, where we can achieve your fitness goals and lifestyle improvements. |
